The Military Uses Doggles
Throughout the history of the United States, the military has been at the forefront of development and innovation. The U.S. military was involved in and supported the early development of computers, motorcycles, and now Doggles.
Dogs have always been an intricate part of the military, even more so recently. Wars are now being fought more and more with the use of land mines and surprise attacks, so the army is taking advantage of a dog's keen sense of smell.
Because dogs have become valuable members of the military, they are being kept safe through a variety of protective gear, including protective eyewear. In an article from the Army News Service, Doggles Corporation representative Ken Di Lullo says, "[The decision to send the goggles to the dogs] was actually pretty simple... Protecting the eyes of the military working dogs seems to be a big problem in Iraq, with the sandstorms." This same kind of protection is something that our dogs here at home need too. Dogs love to stick their heads out of car windows, which is dangerous because floating debris can come into contact with their eyes. Also, dogs love to spend their time outdoors, but the UV rays from the sun can be harmful and even cause eye disease. It is your job to protect them in the same way our military protects their pups. You can do this by getting your dog a pair of Doggles.
It is apparent that Doggles are a great way to protect your dog from the dangers that he may be faced with.
