The Tri-Tronics Bark Limiter G3 uses a vibration based detection to determine when your pet has barked. It comes with short and long probes to make it suitable for long and short haired pets. There is also a 3rd balancing probe which aids in keeping the corrective probes in place and maintain solid contact with your pet. A unique feature to the Tri-Tronics Bark Limiter G3 is its bark odometer which reports back to you how many times your pet was corrected while you were away. There is no tester available with this unit but testing it is easily done with an electric toothbrush or razor placed against the sensor.

The learning process with this system is a little bit different than many other units because its correction level is not progressive which means that you need to pick the level that works for your pet’s training. Always start at the lowest level and move up slowly until the device has an impact on interrupting your pet’s bark. There are 5 levels with the Tri-Tronics Bark Limiter G3 so finding the right correction should be fairly simple.

The battery is not rechargeable but it is long lasting (roughly 3-8 months depending on usage and the number of corrections). Changing out the NiMH battery isn’t the easiest thing and will take a little time but when you only have to swap out batteries once or twice a year its no big deal. The strap is basic and effective helping to keep the contacts in place around your pet’s neck.
