| The SportDog Field Trainer is an effective and affordable trainer with a 400 yard range from a 3.2 oz transmitter. Features a 2.8 oz receiver collar ideal for any dog over 15 pounds. Like all electronic remote training collars, the PetSafe SportDog Field Trainer can be used for two basic purposes: 1) Reinforce obedience commands and 2) Stop unwanted behaviors. Fully submersible with no anttenae to snag on brush, the PSSD-400 is great for sporting dogs. If you have a very large or stubborn dog, you may want to check out the PSSD-400S.
