Bark Control: Training Tips

Barking collars are used to help your dog become an obedient member of society. Barking is how dogs communicate. Our bark collars let your dog know that he is still able to bark, but teach him when he should and should not bark. Bothersome barking is and can become a nuisance. In order to stop this non-standard barking, bark collars give a low level of static correction. If the dog continues to bark, the level of correction will increase with every bark. This allows your dog to bark once or twice if needed, while at the same time stopping excessive barking. Bark collars are activated by vocal vibration. When your dog barks, his vocal cords vibrate, thus sending stimulation from the collar to your dog. If another dog without a collar is barking, your dog will not receive stimulation because the collar does not respond to the sound of a bark, only to the vocal vibration of the dog wearing the collar. A dog that is able to act accordingly without barking will be an appreciated member of the neighborhood.
